Liberia, Africa

In Liberia, WHCI is planning to collaborate with a local health clinic Robert Moore Memorial Healthcare Center.
This partnership will strengthen the collaborations in the following aspects, including introducing the POL program, SAVAME, COVID-19 testing and vaccine and running water campaign.
POL Program
Popular Opinion Leaders (POL) encourage healthy attitudes and change traditional social norms in the community.
With the partnership with Robert Moore Memorial Healthcare Center, the POLs will develop and enhance their skills in communication, leadership, outreach and community-based research.
They will help highlight the interconnections between HIV, mental health, domestic violence and alcohol/drug abuse “SAVAME”.
They will also be trained to promote the importance of taking care of menstrual health and helping them access sanitary pads.

Covid testing & Vaccine
We are hoping to make COVID-19 testing and vaccine more accessible to the general public in Liberia.

HIV Testing
We hope to introduce HIV rapid testing and PrEP in the clinic so as to help keep people free from HIV.
PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, is medicine that can reduce your chance of getting HIV. It can stop HIV from taking hold and spreading throughout your body.

“Running Water for Robert Memorial Campaign”
This campaign is aimed at raising funds to build a water tower which will enable the Robert Moore Memorial Healthcare Center to have running water. Every penny that you donate will go to making this a possibility.
