Future Projects

The Rural Water Protection Program.
The 2002 water protection program was successful, met its mandate and demonstrated the need for expansion. Requests have been received from residents in various areas of Grey and Bruce counties such as Kincardine and South Bruce with the most interest coming from West Grey residents.

Energuide for Houses Program.
This well established program will be adopted and adminstrated by the Bruce Grey Environmental Resource Centre in 2003. Benefits from this program include not only a dollar savings for homeowners but environmental savings by reducing the amount of fossil fuels consumed to provide energy.

Pesticide Free Naturally Campaign
This campaign will be launched in 2003 and will see new partnerships formed with organizations such as the United Way, local service groups, food banks, land and garden organizations and HRDC summer student program. It is our  intention to provide a more "hands-on" approach for the homeowner to explore the alternatives to cosmetic pesticide application.
